Dr. Wale was the Commissioner for Finance in Ogun State between October 2015 and May 2019. Previously he served as Special Adviser/Director General, Bureau of Lands & Survey, in the state between July 2013 and October 2015. He occupied various top management positions in Sterling Bank between November 2012 and July 2013. He rose from the position of Deputy Manager to Chief Financial Controller in Equitorial Trust bank, a legacy bank of Sterling Bank PLC, between December 1994 and October 2011. He was an Audit Senior in Deloitte Nigeria between 1988 and 1994.

Wale is an experienced banker having passed through the rudiments of banking from clerical to managerial level in Co- operative Bank PLC, a legacy bank of Polaris Bank Limited between 1977 and 1990. He joined Dominion Trust Limited in August 1990 and is presently the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the company. He set up Dominion Finance Limited in 2004 to take over the Finance business of Dominion Trust Limited and managed the company from inception till 2010 when he handed over to a successor to become the Chief Executive of Dominion Trust Limited.
